In brief
HER FUND has published Deliverable D4.1 – Report on the training programme for women-led companies. The report captures the design, pilot outcomes, and scale-up strategy for founder training that strengthens women entrepreneurs’ investment readiness across Europe.
What’s inside the report
- Five modules covering soft skills, mindset & resilience, pitch design, funding pathways, and finance essentials built from evidence gathered with women founders in WP1 interviews.
- A deliberately small pilot of 10 start-ups from both Best-Connected and Less-Connected Innovation Ecosystems to test, refine, and collect detailed feedback.
- Hands-on workshops, especially on pitching and financial readiness, received top marks for practicality and engagement, including live pitch practice with investor feedback.
- All training and coaching resources are being consolidated on the HER FUND digital platform, which counted 175 registered users at the time of writing. Learners unlock content sequentially and receive a certificate upon completion.
- A Scale-up plan consolidated through a Regional hub delivery, stronger partnerships (accelerators, universities, investor networks), and a target to train at least 100 female founders by end-2025, with 40% participation from LCIEs.
Why it matters
D4.1 provides a replicable model to close the gender funding gap by building skills, confidence, and networks for women founders while aligning content to regional contexts via a hub-and-platform approach.
